FIFA Fanfest

The group minus Michael Jap

Some hardy souls braved the heat and the crowds to go to the FIFA fanfest. Susan reports that it was, indeed, hot but there was shade and some water available.

Joel

Joel sat at the barbecue stand and sketched the main stage. He was interested in getting in that enormous roof.

Jeffrey Whit

Jeffrey spotted the huge ball on the way to the venue in front of the stadium. Once inside he sketched the team jerseys and the Michelob stands. ( by Susan's report every 20 feet)

Lucia

Lucia sat with Joel and Michael to draw the red umbrellas. You can see Joel there on the left.

Then she drew, what else? Another Michelob stand.

Chetna

Chetna used colored pencil to draw the Esphera installation sponsored by the Johnson Space Center. She reported that the inside was very cool.

Susan

Susan tells me that she arrived early. So she did some sketching at the meetup point on Emancipation Avenue. The giant boot completes the scene.

Susan

Once inside she drew the main stage and one of the musicians. She also drew a Michelob stand and a popsicle cart.
